]]> For each month I’m going to make a post where I’ll try to write up some of my goals for the month. Now we have started on March, and here are what I need to get done within the month:

  • Get over 100 subscribers.
  • Get over 3000 unique visitors
  • Sell 2 125×125 banners
  • Get the final VB t-shirt made

So, around 1 new subscriber each day, hopefully that will happen. :) I have set the number of uniques a bit lower then last month, but this is because I’m not going to use as much money on advertising this month. So I’m reaching after around 100 uniques each day. I have already sold 1 125×125 spot, and my goal is to sell one more. Then it’s the shirt. I have it almost done, and they are soon ready to be sold/given away. ;)

Yesterday my feedburner stats where showing zero for a while. Today it shows me that I got 5 subscribers. I know for a fact thats messed up, and I even know whats wrong. My email subscribers aren’t counted. If you remember some months back almost every user had a similar issue, but then it was the Google users not showing up. Anyway, it does not look like all users got this problem now, and I guess the numbers will be back to normal tomorrow.

How January Went

I started this blog January 16th and therefor only had a half month to show back on. I did not sell any ads therefor I did not earn any money. But I did receive a nice amount of referrals on RocketProfit. Hopefully that will bring in some commission the next few months.

When it comes to traffic the numbers are as follow

  • 1,627 Visits
    3,719 Page Views
    2.29 Pages/Visit
    65.58% Bounce Rate
    00:04:16 Avg. Time on Site
    71.60% % New Visits

My Goals For February

February is going to be a critical month I think. I have to see some progress, and I think thats going to happen. I will try to keep posting good articles, but I also have to spend some time at the school and making sure i don’t get so many F’s.

January went really well if we are looking at my goals when I started. I got my header. I got my 10 subscribers (actually it’s around 20). I wrote some good articles and they brought me some traffic.

This month my goals are as follow:

  • Get over 50 subscribers
  • Sell one 125×125 spot
  • Write 20 posts
  • Get over 5.000 unique visitors

There you have it. Not many goals, but at least there are some. I don’t think they are unreachable and hopefully I will make them all.

]]> I know there aren’t much time left in January – but i still got some nice goals made up. Heres the list:

  • Get a custom cartoon-ish header. (Working on it!)
  • Make changes to the template and be happy with them (Working on it!)
  • Make changes to the template so its advertising ready (working on it!)
  • Write some good post that can atract more readers. (Have got a couple done!)
  • Buy some 125×125 spots and plugs/reviews on webmaster blogs.
  • Make a 125×125 ad. (Maybe before the above ^)
  • Get over 10 RSS subscribers

]]> I guess if you read this post this is your first visit to Vikingblogger.com. Firstly i want to welcome you.

Quick intro
My name is Staale (Ståle in Norway) and I’m a 21 years old guy from cold Norway. (wich is in the northern europe) If you dont know your viking history i recommend you read some. Its funny. Really!. I’m currently a finance student – but have worked with web since 2001-2002.

My goals
This site is going to be a test for myself. I have the last couple of years seen some increase in my earnings on the web – and I’m hoping that its possible to make an living of what I earn of my websites. This site is kinda going to be a blog where I post my thoughts about monetizing websites and what works for me and whats not working for me. My plan is to post some details for this site – and how im making money from it. (If i ever will?) The plan is that you – as a reader will learn something new and hopefully become a reader of the blog.
