Buy Yourself an Account With 1.500 Followers on Twitter

Found a interesting post over at Shoe today regarding an eBay action. Apparently some guy are selling his Twitter account with almost 1.500 followers. And guess what, the bid is now over $500. That makes each followers worth aprox 33 cents. (Hey, my account is worth almost $2.50 then! )

The auction have over 4000 views now, and after the plug on Show (and here. heh.) it will probably gain a couple more thousands views.

So, is it worth it? Probably not, one of the ways he has got so many followers is by following many users himself. 1,395 of them to be correct. So, you could probably build such an account for a fairly cheaper price yourself. One method I can think of right now is buy hiring a guy on DP and tell him to log into your account and start following as many users as he can. This will for sure give you some followers.

Anyway, thumbs up for Andrew for being the first one selling is Twitter account. I have a feeling we will see some more accounts at eBay soon.

Man, now see sitepoint being filled by these kinda sales very soon.
Twitter is like an IM site, why would someone look to sell that!

16000 views on the auction and a bid of US $1,550.00. I might suspect the bid to be fake thought. Made from an account with no feedback.
