Entrecard bugs – 262144ec for One Day!

Just a quick post today. I logged into my Entrecard account today, and was kinda shocked to see that it costed 2048ec/day to advertise on VikingBlogger. Usually the price is around 15ec. (I don’t drop anymore)

I guessed it had to be a bug, so I checked the marketplace, and saw some nice figures. The most expensive one costed 262144ec per day!

How much is the price for a spot on your blog at the moment? (Talking Entrecard here…)

Update 9. april 2008: It looks like it aren’t a bug, sort of. Since Entrecard is introducing a new pricing system these day, the price of ads are effected by that. Thanks for the guys commenting on this.

its 256 credits to advertise on my blog:p ADVERTISE BITCHES, ADVERTISE!!! :p haha

anyways, entrecard is nice, but have some small problems now and then. Got alot of traffic from entrecard

My two cards are 225 and 1024 ec/per day. It raises the question, should I cancel the pending ads on my widget?

I just started with Entrecard, and only allowing travel niche websites to advertise on my blog. I think I am at 16 cards for a day. Not bad right!

Nah, its not a bug, its a new pricing system they put in place. For every ad you have in your queue, your price goes up by a power of 2. So the cost starts at 2 EC to advertise, and then goes to 4 when you have 1 advert in the queue, 8 when having 2 adverts in the queue, etc.
Currently mine is at 1024 EC.

yes thats a bug.
They updated their algorithm before few days. They already said in their blog about this bug.

By the way, when I tried to advertise on your blog it did not allow me due to insufficient credit. LOL! For how long it will go on – this bug really screwed up their system.

Guys, it isn’t a bug. Phirate (their coder) and Graham introduced a new pricing system that has sort of backfired on them. I advise research before labeling it a “Bug”.

It is simply the new pricing system stabalizing. My prediction, once they realize how stupid this new system is they will come up with something else or go back to the old one.

damn, I wondered why everything seemed so messed up. I did some entre-Shopping yesterday, and ran out of credits pretty quick. Maybe its time I started paying attention!
