VikingBlogger t-shirt has Arrived

vikingblogger-t-shirt.jpgIn my branding master plan I have gotten to the point where I get t-shirts an other stuff with the mascot featured on made. Today I received my first test package which included a t-shirt and two mouse mats. This was just to see how the quality was, and I’m impressed. It looks really professional.

T-shirt: I’m thinking on adding a “www.” infront of the adress on the back, and maybe adding a small version of the adress on the front of the shirt, just above the viking. What do you think?

Mousepads: I ordered two version, one with the URL, and one without. I think the one with the URL looks good, and are much more valuable when it comes to branding. I think I leave that as it is.vikingblogger-t-shirt-mouse-mat.png

Lots of vikings at my desk at the moment. :P

Close-up of the mousepad, the quality is actually quite good!

Back of the shirt. What do you think, I'm really unsure there.

  3. the look awesome! nice work. How are you going to use them to expand your blog?

  4. I’m will for sure set up a store, where I sell the stuff. ;) But other then that, I will probably give some away, and there will be contests where you could win some free stuff as well.

    Other ideas? :)

And, what do you guys think about the url on the back? Stay as it is? Add “www.” or remove? What about adding a small url on the front?

  5. a) Leave it, and add a small url on the front.
    b) remove it, and add a small url on the front.

    Why?

Because people dont give a crap about the backside of a t-shirt. Its the front that matters.

  6. I agree with Caper, mostly because it looks pretty ugly with the URL on the back, and I think people will use the shirt more if you remove it.

Lovely motive by the way, LOVED the viking!

  10. Can you link me to the place where you got them made. Also on the point of the vikingblogger addy on the front. I’d say skip it. Anyway I could get one of those shirts, I find them really cool. Info?

  11. Pretty good looking ones :)
@ caper, i think both the sides matter, not only the front :)

And staale, adding www in front of the domain name would look good.

So when am i expecting a t-shirt from your side? ;)
Would love to take pics of myself wearing it. :)

  15. Hi
i think u chould have the back side of the macot on the back.. ??

    Just an idea..

  16. Love the mouse pads; I wouldn’t order them without the URL though. I recognize it and a few thousand other people do but this place is still so new you gotta get that out everywhere. It looks good though so I don’t think people would mind. You have a great mascot.

No need to add the WWW to the VikingBlogger.com

The main reason if someone recognizes and connects with the term blogger they’ll know. Also if Viking is the first thing I read as I’m scanning left to right it will make a more lasting impression then say http://www.

  19. Oh man. I would DIE for one of those tees :D With the URL on the front UNDER the viking and nothing on the back I’d say. But wow, I love them :D

  24. Hi Ståle,

Really great t-shirts1! I like your mascot - who made it to you?

And, about the www - remove it from the back and put it at the left arm ;-) It would look nice!

  25. How and where to order to make a t-shirt with own graphics, how much it costs? :-O

    [Reply]

  26. Looking good one … i wud too suggest u to have url in front and y not on back ? ;)

    [Reply]

  27. My opinion is that the url at the back of the T-Shirt should stay there. Think about it. Those who walk in front of you has less time to notice the word since they are walking in the opposite direction than those who walk behind following you. Make sense?

Unless you stay in one static place against the wall. But you wouldn’t do that, would you?

Just my thought.. do I deserve one free T-shirt? ;-)

  28. Awesome designs! I wish you all the very best of luck with it :)
