My Experince With StumbleUpon Traffic

stumbleupon-logo.png10 days ago I wrote about “The upcoming Digg effect“. In that post I wrote about my little “link bait project”, and how it went. If you haven’t read that post yet, you should do that now! In total I received 526 visits from Digg to the post “10 Most Sexy Commercials“. Thing is though, Digg was not the only service sending traffic to the post. StumbleUpon sent a nice amount of traffic to the same post as well.

StumbleUpon sends a lot less visitors per day, but the traffic is going over more days. In total they sent traffic to the post for 11 days. Sure, we aren’t talking an amount that would break down the server, but its still free traffic.

As you can see StumbleUpon sent 377 visits, which made just over 600 page views. The users did not stay a long time on the site, but they did check out the site, and click on atleast one internal link. This made the bounce rate low, and in my oppinion 50% is quite good for such traffic. (And it’s actually better then the avreage for the site.)

Still – I don’t think the guys that stumble find what they looked for, and I don’t think they subscribed either.
